You’ll know this device as the 4.8-inch revolutionary intent on making us fall madly in love with MIDs all over again (or should that be for the first time?). Good thing then that we now know it as the device that bears a thousand Engadget fingerprints. The Moorestown-powered GW990 from LG has finally become official and we have to say it is exactly the huge slab you might imagine it to be. In terms of specs, it comes with 16GB of built in flash memory and 512MB RAM, and 720p output is possible if the 1020 x 480 screen resolution isn’t enough for you. Chunky, sturdy and curved in all the right places, it’s an appealing device even if it suffers from a bit of an identity crisis.
BlackBerry Bold 2 Priced at $249 on Bell

One of the highly anticipated devices that should reach the market within the following few weeks is the BlackBerry Bold 2 from Research In Motion, a handset that has been spotted on the web under names like Bold 9700 or Onyx. The phone was seen only yesterday on T-Mobile Germany’s website, and today we learn that it will also come to Canada via wireless carrier Bell.

The Nokia E72 is being sold as a business mobile phone, with its key selling point being that it will be email-focused. The new handset is now available for pre-order, ahead of its coming launch on contract deals later this month.
Those interested in the phone can pre-order at Nokia’s site, where they can pay £359 in advance for the latest in the Nokia Eseries of handsets.

AT&T announces TerreStar Genus cellular / satellite smartphone

AT&T and TerreStar have announced the upcoming availability of TerreStar Genus, a hybrid smartphone that provides access to both AT&T’s network and TerreStar’s satellite network.
With the TerreStar Genus, users can connect to a satellite network when the cellular one isn’t available, this way benefiting from a wider coverage area.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 to Arrive Early Next Year

Sony Ericsson Xperia line is about to get a new addition. The X3, which we also know under the name of Rachael, is supposed to be officially unveiled sometime early next year. By early we mean January of course, but that still needs to be confirmed by the manufacturer.
